Open Days at Helicopter Base attracts thousands

Perfect weather conditions greeted thousands of Cantabrians 

and West Coasters as they flocked to the recent Open Days at our two operations bases in Greymouth and Christchurch recently. Held annualy to highlight the work of our air rescue services, the helicopter and paramedic crews were joined by several associated organisations such as surf lifesaving, New Zealand Fire Service, Search and Rescue, New Zealand Army and many more, to give the public an informative and enjoyable  "hands-on' look at our rescue services in action.

The response from the crowds of children and adults who attended was tremendous, ensuring that the Open Days will remain a popular fixture on our fundraising events calendar for many years to come.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated army of volunteers who make our Open Days possible.
