A recent addition to the Garden City Helicopter's fleet of aircraft is a Beechcraft King Air C90B, with comfortable new interior and livery plus extensive avionics. The King Air C90B has the ability to fly in 6 passenger VIP mode or be quickly converted for use in Air Ambulance mode with space for patients plus equipment and medical attendants.
For 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the New Zealand Flying Doctor Service provides for qualified, skilled medical practitioners in the aircraft alongside patients who are being transferred to medical facilities for any number of reasons.
